Bermuda Honeymoon Options

Officially named "The Somers Isles", this country is best known as a destination for  Bermuda honeymoons.

Bermuda, as we know it, is an island that is located northeast of Miami, Florida. A British settlement, it is the most densely inhabited and oldest of all the British territories. The capital city is Hamilton and has about 67,000 inhabitants.

Although we often think of it as a single place there are actually 138 islands that belong to Bermuda. It has a unique climate where it may sometimes be warmer during the winter and cooler during the summer. However despite this rather strange sub tropical weather, the island still draws in a lot of tourists.

Couples looking for a great Bermuda honeymoon experience can look forward to loads of sightseeing and attractions on the islands. This is arguably one of the top caribbean honeymoon destinations.

First thing you should do is go to the beaches. You will be surprised to find that the sands on the beach here have a pink tint and the waters are a bright blue-green color.

Aside from this, the island also has a world heritage site in the form of the Historic St. George’s. This is among the many great attractions in Bermuda.

Here you will also find many different shipwrecks and coral reefs that the Caribbean is so well known for. There's little wonder why snorkeling and scuba diving are such popular activities given these marvelous underwater views. To continue your up-close with nature, also be sure to see the caves, zoos, botanical gardens and underground saltwater pools. These are popular things to see.

In terms of arts, tourists and couples on a honeymoon can observe the dances and listen to music which is something very important in the culture and a great experience to have.

Two main types of music are often heard throughout between the palm trees. Calypso music was brought about through the influence of West Indians while Reggae was an influence form Jamaican immigrants.

These are the main genres and are both widely embraced in the daily lives of the people.

Dances on the other hand were taken from Native American and African Slaves. The most popular traditional dance is known as Gombey.

Throughout the islands you will also find a lot of places to dine and stay. Especially on the south end.

This is where most hotels and restaurants are located along the beach. Seafood are of course abounding given the location. Aside from this you can also enjoy European, Asian and Bahamas cuisine. Pubs and bars can also give you a relaxing experience if you want to have a drink or two or just simply unwind and enjoy yourself.

Besides the strong flow of tourism and culture you can also expect to find a flourishing economy here. It is another of the many off shore tax havens in the Caribbean. There are numerous foreign companies and its economy has been able to develop healthy international business relations. One of the main services that the country provides is an international export of financial services.

The country’s official currency is known as the Bermudian Dollar.

Getting there is no chore at all, as you can find many travel agents that offer you very cheap flights to Bermuda. Once you are there, getting around is a breeze as you can even consider going to a Bermuda car rental service to get a vehicle to tour the island.

Couples just have an absolute blast here on this island and often just don't want to return to their normal lives. No wonder why, as this is also partly due to the wonderful Bermuda beach hotels which they fall in love with. Others opt simply to stay at a Bermuda all inclusive resort. Regardless, everyone has a great time here.

With the many different offerings that the island has, it is definitely a place that you should go to whether or not you are on a honeymoon.
