offer you a great chance to be one with nature in this
parkland area. You can take a dip, walk around, and have
a picnic in this area. The Three House facility offers
you a place where you can freshen
up.
3.
George Washington House - the first
president of the United States stayed in Barbados for a
short period of time with his half-brother Lawrence. Walk
through the same historic house that he stayed in. The
house has been completely resorted to look the way that
it did many years ago.
4.
Four Square Rum Distillery Park - among the
oldest rum distilleries in the world is another popular
Barbados tourist attraction. Laid in 8 acres of land in
St. Philip its surrounding areas have been carefully
landscaped. You can take a guided tour of the factory and
learn about the entire process of making rum from the
past to the present.
5.

parish is a museum where you can learn all about sugar.

role in the lives of the Barbadians. A guided tour is
offered where you can view the antique machinery once
used as well as the working machinery that is used
today.
6.
Jewish Synagogue - this is something that
you can visit even if you do not share the same faith.
Found in the Bridgetown which is the capital of Barbados
it is one of the oldest synagogues in the world. The
original synagogue was destroyed in 1831 due to a
hurricane but it was rebuilt in the same site in
1833.
7.
Sunbury Plantation House - the parish of St.
Phillip which is on the south east coast is home to this.
This historic home built in 1660 is where stories of
slave rebellion took place. It has been damaged twice
because of these rebellions and a fire. Today the house
looks just as it did in its glory days after having been
restored.
8.
Farley Hill National Park - you will find
this tourist attraction in the Parish of St. Andrew.
Consisting of a forest of mahogany trees on top of a hill
overlooking the Atlantic Ocean it is truly a beautiful
sight. In its earlier days it was the residence for
stately mansions. Eventually destroyed by a fire the
walls of the mansion now serve as a stage when festivals
are held in this place. Definitely worth a
visit.
These are really some
of the many places that you can see. The simple fact is
that Barbados is heaven on earth for
tourists.
