1.    18th Century Fort Charlotte, West Bay Street. Made to guard the West entrance to Nassau Harbor. Go back in time as you view an open moat, dungeons and open battlements in this historic place. Aside from this you can also get a great view of the harbor from here. 

 

2.    The Water Tower. At 85 m above sea level, this is the highest point on the entire island. You’ll get the chance to go up to the observation deck to get a view of the scenes around. Breathtaking!

 

3.    Straw Market. Any tourist and shopping enthusiast will surely enjoy this stop. You’ll be amidst the hustle and bustle of daily business as you shop for local straw made items, wood carvings and t-shirts.  

 

4.    Garden of the Groves. Take a stroll through acres of lush foliage as you enjoy nature’s beauty. Here you’ll find exotic flowers and more than 10,000 kinds of plants, a waterfall, and different breeds of parrots. As you get to the top of the hill you’ll find a quaint little chapel. 

 

5.    Sanctuary Bay. Anyone will find a different experience with the dolphins here. This will give a close encounter with semi-wild dolphins as you step into shallow waters with them. You can also take pictures of them from the view deck. 

 

6.    Cat Island. Here you will find cliffs that are about 200 ft high which are surrounded by a natural forest. Within this you will also find pre-Columbian Arawak Indian caves. If you want some time alone with a lot of peace and quiet this is the perfect destination. 

 

7.    The Abacos. This is a string of islands to the north of New Providence. You’ll find an atmosphere reminiscent to New England fishing villages. Here they have a strong tradition for shipbuilding and a great golf course. Scuba diving is also a hit at the Pelican city National Park. 

 

8.    Long Island. The popular cocktail gets its name from this island which is about 100 km long. There are dive scenes to be observed at Concepcion Island with more than 30 shipwrecks which can be found. 

 

9.    Berry islands. This is one place that fishing enthusiast and golfers will surely enjoy. Aside from the golf course and fishing activities you will also find white sand beaches and beautiful landscapes. 

 

10. Andros Island. Here a large portion of the island remains to be untouched. You’re sure to see forest inlands which are natural in beauty. In the waters you’ll find the world’s third largest coral reef known as Tongue of the Ocean. Deep ocean fishing is a popular activity here.
