Bahamas Honeymoon: Experience of a Lifetime

 

Officially its known as the Common Wealth of Bahamas but much more popular to tourists as simply, 'The Bahamas'. This is an island in the Caribbean located in the Atlantic Ocean.

 

To its north is Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic while northwest is Turks and Caicos. The capital of this island is Nassau and their currency is known as the Bahamian Dollar. This island is best known as a popular destination for a Bahamas honeymoon.

Originally the island was inhabited by Arawakan Taino people. After a long history of slavery and battles the Bahamas is now an independent nation with a population of more or less 330,000. Aside from tourism the Bahamas is also dependent on financial services. They are the forty seventh freest economy in the entire world thanks to this. There are numerous foreign investors in the island and the country makes its revenue from taxes and tariffs. Numerous off shore banks also exist within the country just like in other Caribbean islands.
